Welcome to William Sicilian Restaurant
Set in the heart of the Northern Quarter at the top of Hilton Street, William Sicilian Restaurant occupies a historic grade II listed building of late 18th century, dubbed part of English Tradition Heritage.
William Sicilian is a family cosy restaurant serving Traditional English Breakfast and Authentic Sicilian and Italian Food. We love tradition so both ingredients and recipes are authentic.
We moved to England 5 years ago and we noticed a lack of original flavours from Italy first and the complete absence of Sicilian food in the market. We miss our land so we decided to create something original and homemade.
Sicilian Street Food (Arancini, Cartocciate, Cipolline, Fried Pizza..) as starters, Italian famous pasta dishes as mains (Lasagna Bolognese, Cannelloni Ricotta and Spinach, Carbonara, Tagliatelle Bolognese, Gnocchi, Pasta alla Norma..) Amazing desserts choice (filled at the moment Cannoli, Tiramisu, Iris, Cassata Siciliana,Nutella Crepe’, Iris..) this is what we offer to our guests.
All homemade and original cooked by our chef Nicoletta!
We proudly serve our homemade Sicilian Street Food, Italian Pasta and Traditional English Breakfast at historical William Restaurant (since 1930) in Manchester Northen Quarter and all over Manchester, at private functions and also street food events and markets. In store, we also serve delicious house-baked Sicilian Sweets and top coffee.

Meet the Owners
Founder & Director
Born and raised in Sicily, the sunny island in the middle of the Mediterranean sea, my background is engineering. I founded Dirextra Construction Business School in 2003 and we are leaders in the field of education for Professional Engineers in the Construction and Oil & Gas Sectors. I’m an entrepreneur first and foremost.
I love architecture, design, fashion, attention to detail and obviously my passion is delicious food and good wine in a charming environment.
I have a history in the catering business in my country. We organised and prepared business lunches for customers who were attending the course. Business lunches in Italy are quite a complicated matter because people had food in the culture and they want to eat well, with tasty, good-sized portions. We did it in Rome for around 10 years, and we did it well, all fresh and homemade by our staff. We brought the flavours of Sicily to Rome and people loved us; often they liked to come to the course for the amazing food.
Founder & Director
International Italian model and actor who grew up in Naples, one of the main cities in southern Italy. Naples is also the gateway to the very well-known international jet set destination, the Amalfi Coast. I’m the face of the famous Italian Diabolik cartoons and I made several movies and advertising campaigns in my career, mainly in Italy but also in other countries.
I love fashion and beauty first. I also have a passion for tasty food, especially when it is healthy and fresh. I’m a fit and athletic person, always interested in health. My family owns an historical bar down in Naples so the street food business is something I was born into.
I decide to take over an existing historical cafe’ because I like tradition but at the same time innovation. So I think strong historical English traditions combined with strong historical southern Italian traditions are the magic mixture for a sensorial experience.
I’m often at the bar so come down if you want to meet me in person.
